SkinTrust Terms and Conditions

The Skin Trust Program by Gingerly is a volunteer program created by Gingerly | The Sustainable Skincare Co. to conduct supervised dermatological tests and focus groups for feedback on cosmetic products in development. Participation in this program implies acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. Nature of the Program

  • Participation in the Skin Trust Program is entirely voluntary and does not create any employment or contractual relationship with Gingerly.
  • The program's objective is to evaluate the tolerance and perception of cosmetic products on human skin and gather valuable information for their improvement.

2. Participation Requirements

  • Be over 18 years old at the time of registration.
  • If underage, must be legally represented by a guardian or parent.
  • Complete the registration form with truthful and updated information.
  • Not suffer from serious medical conditions that prevent participation in cosmetic tests.
  • Inform Gingerly of any history of allergies, skin reactions, or relevant dermatological conditions.

3. Personal Data Protection

  • Personal information provided by volunteers will be treated confidentially and used exclusively for purposes related to the program.
  • Gingerly commits not to sell, share, or disclose data to third parties without the participant's prior consent, except as required by law.
  • Data will be stored securely, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law applicable in the Dominican Republic and international privacy standards.

4. Procedure and Participation

  • Participants may be invited to:Supervised dermatological tests (e.g., patch test) conducted by trained professionals.Focus groups and surveys on product experiences and perceptions.
  • Gingerly may select volunteers based on internal criteria (skin type, age, availability, etc.).
  • Participation may be in-person or remote, as indicated in each call.

5. Risks and Responsibility

  • The products evaluated are topical cosmetics, not medicines, and have been formulated under safety standards.
  • However, as with any cosmetic product, there is a possibility of individual adverse reactions (irritation, redness, itching, etc.).
  • Gingerly is not responsible for conditions, reactions, or discomfort resulting from participation in the tests.
  • Participation is at the volunteer's own risk and responsibility.
  • Participants are advised to immediately report any adverse reactions and discontinue product use.

6. Voluntary Withdrawal

  • The participant may withdraw from the program at any time, without needing to justify the decision.
  • Gingerly also reserves the right to exclude a participant if they violate program rules or if their continued participation is deemed a risk to their health.

7. Rights of Use of Information and Testimonials

  • Comments, opinions, and perceptions shared in focus groups or surveys may be used by Gingerly for research, development, and brand communication purposes.
  • Under no circumstances will personal information that directly identifies the volunteer be disclosed, unless expressly authorized.
  • The participant must complete a confidentiality agreement if they are part of a focus group for products that have not yet been released.

8. Modifications

Gingerly reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updated versions will be available on the program's official channels.

9. Acceptance

By registering for the Skin Trust Program by Gingerly, the participant declares to have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions, acknowledging that their participation is free, voluntary, and under their own responsibility.
